Elk Lasagne

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb ground elk meat
  • 16 oz cottage cheese
  • 16 oz mozzarella cheese (grated and split in half)
  • 1 can/jar of pasta sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 clove garlic

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. preheat over to 350 degrees
  2. brown elk meat in a large saucepan
  3. add pasta sauce and garlic and let simmer for 15 minutes on low
  4. boil lasagna noodles following instructions on the box. You want the noodles to be slightly al dente
  5. while the noodles and sauce are cooking grate the mozzarella cheese
  6. when the noodles are finished spray a 13″x 9″ glass dish with cooking spray and place the first three noodles across the
    bottom.
  7. top that with the cottage cheese and then place another layer of three noodles on top of that
  8. put half of your mozzarella cheese on top of that layer and add another layer of noodles
  9. place half of your meat sauce on top of that and another layer of noodles
  10. place the rest of your meat sauce on that and the rest of your mozzarella cheese
  11. bake the lasagna at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
